Our rates

The price of a translation depends on the number of words in the text provided and the chosen language combination. Each language combination has a fixed word price.

The number of words (in thousands) in the translation multiplied by the price (per thousand words) is the final invoice amount. Translation fees are normally quoted in £ per thousand words.

As a guide the average word-count per page for a commercial document is 300 words. A solid text of normal sized A4 would be approx. 500 words. If the document is in Word then use the word count in Word. Go to >Tools>Word Count> to find the number of words.

  • Where documents require validation or notarisation, standard charges for this service apply.

Where additional proofreading is required, e.g. for publication ready documents, or where proofreading by another translator is required. (Standard charges include normal checking by the translator and our own quality control checks).
